What you did at IU: I was a highlight videographer and on-air talent for Indiana Football, and I did sideline reporting and commentary for BTN Student U, anchored and reported for The Herald-Times Hoosier Sports Report, was a Smithville Media sideline reporter, a member of Association of Women in Sports Media Chapter at IU, and I participated in Intel’s Free-D training for the 360-degree video program. I was also the communications chair for IU Dance Marathon.

As for internships, I was a photographer and reporter for the Indiana swimming and diving team, a sports intern for WFIE, and a media specialist intern for Purdue Extension services and the Indiana 4-H Program.

What you do now: I am now the Sports Reporter at WISH-TV in Indianapolis!

What advice you have for sports media students: Take the time and make the sacrifices to learn every single aspect of your dream job because every piece is important and necessary. Impress, find the value, and maintain every relationship and connection you make in the industry because the sports world is smaller than it seems. No one will doubt your ability if you outwork everyone else around you.
