Imagine a world in which the No. 7 team in the country stayed home from the NCAA Tournament. Before the tournament was the 68 (or 64, or 32)-team thrilling event we now know as March Madness, NCAA rules made that scenario very real. Until 1975, only one team per conference was allowed to go to the Big Dance. The 1959-60 Indiana Hoosiers were a victim of this format. This is the story of that team.
