What I did at IU: Live broadcasts with WIUX Sports and BTN Student U; contributor/content director at The Hoosier Network, sports w/ IU NewsNet; internships with FOX Sports and WISH-TV

What I do now: Sports anchor/reporter at 13WMAZ in Macon, Georgia (Cover high school athletics, Mercer University Athletics, the Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta area sports)

Advice for sports media students: Take risks, get out of your comfort zone, and be confident with the kind of work you produce. Consider doing things that others aren’t necessarily doing, because that is how you’ll stand out to an employer. Never say no to an opportunity — any experience is good experience!
