What you did at IU: Hosted shows and play-by-play for WIUX Student Radio, reporting and anchoring for IUSTV, play-by-play for women’s Little 500 during my junior and senior year, volunteered/interned at 2015 and 2018 NCAA Men’s Final Fours and 2016 NCAA Women’s Final Four, BTN Student U play-by-play, color and sideline.
What you do now: I’m working for BEK Sports which is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. I do play by play for local high school and college sports as well as the IFL (Indoor Football League)
What advice you have for sports media students: SLOW DOWN. It’s easy to be in a big rush to get to the next thing, game, job or whatever. Stay in the moment. Just do your best to take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself. Treat every game as an opportunity to get better.
