What he did at IU: Worked for the Indiana Daily Student, The Herald-Times, and Gary-Post Tribune covering the IU men’s basketball and football teams. Also served as the Colts.com beat writer for the 2009 season.

What he does now: Senior editor at The Ringer covering the NBA. Previously worked at Sports Illustrated as the assistant managing editor and NBA editor.

What advice he has for sports media students: Find something you’re so passionate about that it doesn’t feel like work. Don’t hesitate to network just because it’s awkward. And make sure you have tried everything before leaving Bloomington.
